Icy Shaker featuring Picket Fence Studios' Penquins Wanna Have Fun & Glacier Scenery

Hello everyone! I have a fun shaker to cool you off in the summer heat featuring a couple of fun sets from Picket Fence Studios; Penquins Wanna Have Fun and Glacier Scenery. This easy shaker comes together quickly for a happy hello to someone who lives afar.

An oversized piece of vellum was stamped with Distress Oxide ink Tumbled Glass and clear embossed twice. A panel of Bristol Smooth card stock, also over sized was ink blended using one of the larger Life Changing Blender Brushes.

  • Sky - Tumbled Glass, Evergreen Bough

  • Ocean - Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers

The panel was die cut with the main die from Glacier Scenery. The embossed image on the vellum was lined up to the window opening and adhered to the underside of the panel. The panel was trimmed to card front size, 4” by 5 1/4”. Foam was placed in strips around the glacier to contain the shaker material to that area and on the perimeter of the card. Skylight Sequin Mix is placed in the glacier area and another card front sized panel is adhered on top to create an independent shaker.

The shaker was adhered to a black matted, top folding card base. The Glacier Scenery stamp set comes with two smaller glaciers which were stamped on vellum and embossed like the large one. They were adhered to the dark blue area of the window die cut and cut with the accompanying dies.

The sweet penguin pair a from Penguins Wanna Have Fun was stamped with Intense Black Ink and Copic coloured simply with W0, 00, and 1, and YR02. The penguins were cut with the coordinating die and mounted on foam. The sentiment from the same stamp set was inked with Salty Ocean and a touch of Evergreen bough on the top of the letters and clear embossed. It was cut into a strip and also mounted on foam. The card was embellished with clay hearts and sequins from Skylight. The sequins were finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
