I am happy to share a one layer card featuring an image and sentiment from the bundle, Blessed. I love this flower ... such a delicate, sweet beauty. I began by printing my image on both Neenah Solar White 80lb card stock and masking paper. The flower minus the stamens, leaves and pods on the masking paper were cut out. I made sure to trim just inside the black line to avoid a halo around the image when ink blending.
After the masks were in place, the background was ink blended with distress oxide inks; Stormy Sky, Shaded Lilac and Milled Lavender. I worked diagonally from the right corner to the left so the sentiment would be highlighted with the pale lavender ink. The masks were removed and the panel was left to dry to avoid fingerprints on that pretty background!
The images were Copic coloured in blues and violets to compliment the ink blended background. I used BV13, 25, 23 and 20 on the flower and pods. Y0000 edges the flower petals. The leaves and stems were coloured with B99, 95, 93 and 91.
The panel was adhered to black card stock and then to an A2 sized, Neenah 110lb card base. Some small, black crystals accentuate the area around the pods and leaves. The base of the stamen was highlighted with silvery dots applied with a Gelly Roll pen.
