Hello everyone! Some of you may remember that I moved to a new house about this time last year. I managed to get the back yard landscaped before winter but did not do the front of the house. I am an avid gardener and decided to take this on by myself! It has been quite a job as it was at ‘rough grade’ and, of course, weedy. I have my last delivery of rock tomorrow so I will be busy … pail by pail! But then it will be done! So that has been my life the past couple of weeks but I did manage to do up this fun, all die-cut card featuring Spellbinders’ Say Cheese. This retro camera and all the accompanying floral dies makes for a super fun die set!
I began by constructing the camera. All the die cuts were from either ivory, soft pink or dark pink card stock. The camera body was stacked on a foam die cut. The florals were die cut from soft yellows and the same pinks used in the camera. A card front, 4” by 5 1/4”, of blue violet card stock was embossed with Spellbinders’ Faux Stitch embossing folder.
The embossed panel was matted with black card stock and adhered to an A2 sized card base, 4 1/4” by 5 1/2”. The floral arrangement was created for the top of the card first and then the camera was mounted over the stems. The smaller arrangement for the bottom of the card was adhered last.
Both the lens and view finder were coated with Nuvo Crystal Glaze. Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard was applied to all of the dark pink die cuts on the camera with the exception of the sentiment. The card was embellished with Nuvo Crystal Drops Apple Green and Shimmering Rose.
