Hello everyone! I love products that are versatile! Spellbinders' Colour Block Mini Diamonds is a two piece die set; one die creates a solid die cut diamond while the other die produces four frames and a tiny solid diamond. I have created two cards ... one features a diamond background and the other incorporates diamond accents. This geometric shape works well with other products as well! The possibilities are endless!
Both cards are A2 sized, 4 1/4" by 5 1/2". The card fronts are ivory card stock that measure 4" by 5 1/4" They are mounted on sheet foam and matted on soft pink card stock. The sentiments are from Layered Mix and Match Sentiments. The shadow dies were used to cut both foam and ivory card stock and stacked. The scripty words were die cut from pink card stock. The florals and balloons are from Just A Tweet.
Colour Block Mini Diamonds Accents
The frame diamond die was used to cut both pink and ivory card stock four times each. The outer frames for each diamond were aligned to the left side of the panel with the rest of the frames inlaid alternating between the two colours. The sentiment was adhered and the flowers and leaves laid out to frame the sentiment.
Colour Block Mini Diamonds Background
Several of the frame diamonds were die cut from pink, lavender, ivory and matte gold card stock. The background pattern was created with the largest and second largest frames and the small solid diamond. The rows were alternated between the two sizes of frame diamonds. The colour pattern was repeated and the small solid diamond was adhered to the centres of the largest frame. Two of the three balloons and the string die cuts were mounted on foam and positioned along side the sentiment. The centre balloon was adhered directly to the panel so the other two balloons could overlap it. The base of the strings were finished off with a floral arrangement. The balloons were coated with Nuvo Crystal Glaze.
For both cards, yellow confetti was used in the flower centres. Both the confetti and the green circle details were finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
