Christmas Tags featuring Simon Says Stamp’s DIEcember Release, ETCHED MAGNOLIA BLOSSOM
I have another set of tags … large tags … showcasing a few products from Simon Says Stamp including the DIEcember release, ETCHED MAGNOLIA BLOSSOM, and ETCHED DELICATE FROND, SLIMLINE CHRISTMAS and their new set of ink pads ... PAWSITIVELY SATURATED INKS! We are in a deep freeze where I live and these tropical colours are just what I need!
Bristol Smooth card stock was die cut with Tim Holtz' Tag and Bookplates die. The panels were ink blended with blending brushes using all five colour families, 3 inks per panel, of the Pawsitively Saturated inks. I found the ink blending different than working with Distress and Distress Oxide inks. The Saturated inks smooth out as they dry. The colours are a knock out!
All of the die cutting was done with Neenah Classic Crest 110 lb card stock using the new DIEcember release, ETCHED MAGNOLIA BLOSSOM and other Simon dies; ETCHED DELICATE FROND and SLIMLINE CHRISTMAS. After the flowers were assembled, the petals edges were glittered with Simon's Unicorn Dust. This glitter was also applied to the tips of the leaves of the delicate frond.
Slimline Christmas was adhered to the side of the tag using Tombow glue. The glue was left to dry. The tacky surface of the sentiments is repositionable providing flexibility when aligning it to the tag. A white reinforcement, a die cut included in the Tag and Labels die, was adhered around the hole. Two fronds were adhered to each tag and topped off with a magnolia blossom.
Two jewels from Clear Iridescent Mix were adhered to the petals. The tags were tied with white ribbon slip knotted through the hole.
