Hello everyone! I have a fun card perfect for giving to crafty friends! This card features Studio Katia's Artsy Trimmings. This stamp set comes with two panels. I used the one illustrating colouring media but the other panel is just as fun featuring crafty materials!
I took my inspiration for this card from some pretty striped patterned paper, Spring Flowers, by Moda Scrap. I loved the hand drawn look in pretty greens and blues. I cut a background panel 4 1/4" by 5 ½".
The image was stamped with a copic friendly ink, Memento Tuxedo Black on Neenah Solar white card stock. I selected copic colours to compliment the patterned paper: a variety of blues, blue greens and greens. I also used some earth tones and cool greys. The colours I used are listed in the Products section. The colouring was very simple. I used a light and a dark tone for each image.
The stamped panel was trimmed where the images end on the bottom of the panel and adhered to white sheet foam. I let it dry completely before I fussy cut along the top of the image. The illustration has simple lines and was easy to trim. I attached this panel to the patterned paper.
The die cut sentiment is Simon Says Stamp, Hello Crafty Friend Wafer Dies. I thought it was the perfect compliment to this stamp set. The sentiment set comes with two dies; a shadow die and the script phrase. I cut the shadow out of soft blue and the script two times from Neenah Solar White 110lb card stock. The fine script sentiment was dotted with Tombow glue and left to dry. The sentiments were stacked easily with the help of tweezers! The script was adhered to the shadow die cut and glued to the patterned paper panel. This panel was attached to an A2 sized Neenah card base. I finished the card with some embellishments using Nuvo Crystal Drops Simply White.
