Querida Amiga is a gorgeous stamp set with many beautiful Spanish sentiments. Although I do not have a video, I wanted to highlight my card on my blog to encourage you to consider participating in this fundraiser.
The Elements:
Both the floral image and sentiment were printed on Neenah Solar White 80lb card stock. The flower was Copic coloured with RV99, 95, 93 and 91. BG96, 93 and 90 were used on the leaves. The image was fussy cut and the leaves were separated from the flower. A circle of black foam was adhered to the flower and trimmed where necessary.
The Sentiment:
The sentiment, Te Deseo Una Hermosa Semana, means Wishing You a Beautiful Week. The panel was coloured with RV95, 93 and 90 and mounted on black card stock.
The Background:
Slate grey cardstock was stamped with Versamark ink using The Ton's Freestyle Stripes and embossed with Stampendous' Aged Rose Embossing Enamel. After heat setting, the entire panel was covered with Versamark ink by rubbing the pad directly on the card stock. It was embossed a second time using WOW! Clear Sparkle embossing powder. The panel was die cut with a stitched rectangle die and mounted on black sheet foam before adhering it to an A2 sized card base.
Putting It All Together:
Before attaching the foam mounted flower to the panel, it was positioned so the leaves could be adhered directly on the background first. The corner of the small sentiment panel was tucked slightly under the flower edge. A few sequins were attached and a drop of Nuvo Morning Dew Crystal Drops added to each one. Small black Nuvo drops were applied to the centre of the flower. I added the drops a few at a time, not touching each other, and let them set before adding more to avoid a big, black mass!
