3D Embossing & Easy Inlaid Paper Piecing featuring Spellbinders’ Tile Mosaic

Updated: Jun 18, 2022

Hello everyone! Spellbinders’ new 3D embossing folders have incredible depth and dimension. I have a couple of more posts coming soon and have provided links to the folders that will be featured. In today’s card, I am using Tile Mosaic is one of those designs that is sure to be reached for often to create easy but beautiful backgrounds. I have paired it with another fabulous die set, Gift Borders and Sentiments..

Navy blue card stock, 4” by 5 1/4”, was embossed. I sprayed the panel liberally with water first and after the embossing it was set aside to dry completely. The outline die from Gift Border and Sentiments

The paper piecing for the presents was done in soft rainbow colours. Card stock scraps were trimmed down to a little bit larger than the present that would be die cut from it. The presents were cut and paper pieced one at a time. There are many tiny die cuts and this approach was a good way to manage it! Each present was finished off with matte card stock bow.

The embossed panel was mounted on matte gold card stock and adhered to a top folding card base. To bow glue was applied to the sentiment and set aside to dry until it was in its tacky and repositionable state before it was adhered to the card. Gold confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew on a few of the presents complete the card.
